Dr. Nita S. Bhatia graduated from New York University with a B.A. in Psychology in 2004 and attended medical school at the New York College of Osteopathic Medicine.  She completed her Adult Psychiatry residency training at Rutgers - Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in 2012.  She then did an additional two year fellowship in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at Albert Einstein College of Medicine - Montefiore Medical Center.

Dr. Bhatia’s warmth and compassion allow her to listen and relate to individuals and families of different backgrounds to make the greatest progress.  She looks at her clients as a whole and examines the biological, temperamental, and environmental factors that affect each person she treats.  Dr. Bhatia's particular interests include treatment of mood and anxiety disorders, issues relating to women's health, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), and behavioral issues.

In addition to her private practice, Dr. Bhatia currently works as a consulting Psychiatrist at Ramapo College, Windsor Bergen Academy and Windsor Prep High School. Prior to her private practice, Dr. Bhatia worked as an Attending Physician at Morristown Medical Center in the departments of Psychiatry and Pediatrics.

Dr. Bhatia resides in Bergen County, NJ with her husband and two children.
